WHAT IS EFT?

EFT stands for Emotional Freedom Techniques. It is often referred to as ‘EFT Tapping’ or simply as ‘Tapping’.


EFT Tapping is a practical self-help method that involves using the fingers to gently tap on the body's acupressure points along the meridian lines used in Chinese medicine. In some ways, Tapping is similar to acupuncture. Acupuncture achieves healing through stimulating the body’s meridians and energy flow just the same as Tapping. However, acupuncture involves needles. No needles is definitely one of the advantages of Tapping. 


The therapeutic effects of Tapping are recognized around the world. EFT Tapping can be used for anxiety, weight loss, pain management, stress, financial problems or just about anything you want to overcome or excel at in your life.


Tapping helps us tune in to the negative patterns that we form around uncomfortable thoughts, feelings, or troubling memories that we have. We ‘tap’ on these acupressure points while bringing the thoughts or emotions into consciousness. The goal is to find relief, relaxation, and promote healing around the emotional or physical issues that hold us back.


The basic Tapping process is easy to learn, can be done anywhere, and can provide impressive results quickly!

WHAT IS HYPNOTHERAPY?

Hypnotherapy is a heightened state of concentration and focused attention. Guided by a trained, Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist, hypnosis allows you to be more open to suggestions to making healthful changes in your perceptions, sensations, emotions, memories, thoughts or behaviors.


During a session, you will be guided to relax during the "Induction Phase" followed by the "Deepening Technique" to allow your body to relax even further before working on the main problem. You will then end the session with the "Creating a Positive Feeling Technique" and slowly come back to the present.


Studies have shown that hypnotherapy can be useful for:


  • Pain control: Hypnosis may help with pain due to cancer, fibromyalgia, TMJ and headaches. 
  • Behavior change: Hypnosis has been used with some success in the treatment of insomnia, smoking, and overeating.
  • Mental health conditions: Hypnotherapy can be an effective method for coping with stress and anxiety and may help treat body focused repetitive behaviors, phobias, and PTSD.
  • Hot flashes: Hypnosis may relieve symptoms of hot flashes associated with menopause.
